It's not surprising that people can get enthusiastic at times about the type of maintenance their vehicle receives. For some people, a car is an investment in future value. For other people, the type of service their vehicle gets is helpful in eliminating problematic and irritating breakdowns

Maintaining a car costs money, yet will often save the driver in the long run. A car that is properly maintained uses less fuel and protects the resale value of the car. Furthermore, when a car goes in for a BMW service, small problems can be caught before they become major issues. Drivers need to remember this at all times and take their car to a dealership when the car is in need of maintenance or a repair. Why is the dealer the best choice for drivers who care about their car?

When a car goes to the dealer for a BMW service Greensboro, the driver can feel comfortable knowing the vehicle is being worked on by factory trained technicians. They understand the car, how it works and what may go wrong. Many independent shops have technicians that have general training, but not the specific training offered by the manufacturer. This can lead to the [...]

NHTSA issues an airbag warning to 7.8 million cars impacted by the Takata airbags recall which affects certain Toyota, Honda, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Chrysler, Ford and General Motors vehicles.

Takata informed the companies earlier this month that faulty inflators may have slipped through the cracks and been delivered to manufacturers because of faulty record-keeping.

“The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration urges owners of certain Toyota, Honda, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Chrysler, Ford and General Motors vehicles to act immediately on recall notices to replace defective Takata airbags,” the agency said in a statement Tuesday, adding there should be particular urgency in areas of high humidity such as [...]

Overview: The M3 is a legend in the world of performance cars, giving enthusiasts everywhere reason to speak in gushing superlatives whenever given the chance. It’s even better now that the M3 has had a heart transplant in the guise of a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six that makes 425 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque; it replaces the previous model’s 414-hp 4.0-liter V-8. To help you avoid confusion, the M3 badge is now applied only to sedan models; coupe and convertible models now wear the new M4 designation.

According to this study, the most aggressive drivers are men, ages 35-50, who drive blue BMWs. The study also found that the most aggressive times on the roads are at 5:45pm on Fridays and the Monday morning commute. Imagine that!

In the study of 2,837 motorists, Land Rovers, Audis, Subarus and Vauxhalls were also on the “most aggressive” list, and the colors of black, silver, green and red followed the angry blue.

Drivers most often expressed road rage by shouting and swearing, followed by erratic driving and obscene gestures. Motorists were asked the pick the make and colour of car from which they have experienced the most incidents of road rage – and blue BMWs came out on top.

UPDATE: Yesterday, (July 16, 2014) it was announced that this recall has expanded to all 3 Series cars manufactured between May 1999 and August 2006, not just in the regions originally mentioned below.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and BMW N.A. will be issuing a limited regional recall of select BMW e46 3 Series vehicles due to defective frontal airbags in Florida, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Which BMW models are affected by the recall?

What causes the defective frontal airbags?
