Recently we have gotten a lot of questions regarding Airbag warning lights on BMW‘s. Here is a little more information about it:
NHTSA issues an airbag warning to 7.8 million cars impacted by the Takata airbags recall which affects certain Toyota, Honda, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Chrysler, Ford and General Motors vehicles.
Takata informed the companies earlier this month that faulty inflators may have slipped through the cracks and been delivered to manufacturers because of faulty record-keeping.
“The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration urges owners of certain Toyota, Honda, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Chrysler, Ford and General Motors vehicles to act immediately on recall notices to replace defective Takata airbags,” the agency said in a statement Tuesday, adding there should be particular urgency in areas of high humidity such as Florida, Hawaii, [...]

While visiting North Carolina, former NBA All-Star Kwame Brown found himself having vehicle issues with his 2013 Rolls Royce Ghost. New and Used Chevrolet and Cadillac in Greensboro, NC
The new Cadillac ATS coupe is the lovely, delightfully adept product of a Hobson’s choice. Luxury-coupe sales are stagnant, yet here comes a new luxury coupe because there are really no alternatives. At least the new ATS coupe is a hottie that’s gratifying to drive.
Here is the backstory: It’s so expensive to engineer a new platform that no company does it for just one mainstream model. After the high-volume sedan is developed, its guts usually get stuffed into another model as quickly and cheaply as possible. That leverages the component set with yet another new product that can reach a different customer, bringing in more sales at relatively little cost.
Thus, the BMW 3-series sedan, at which the four-door ATS is squarely aimed, begets [...]
Overview: The M3 is a legend in the world of performance cars, giving enthusiasts everywhere reason to speak in gushing superlatives whenever given the chance. It’s even better now that the M3 has had a heart transplant in the guise of a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six that makes 425 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque; it replaces the previous model’s 414-hp 4.0-liter V-8. To help you avoid confusion, the M3 badge is now applied only to sedan models; coupe and convertible models now wear the new M4 designation.
Sublime handling, turbo torque, baby DTM rear fender flares, comfortable all day long.
Bland steering, almost 85 large as seen here.
VEHICLE TYPE: front-engine, rear-wheel-drive, 5-passenger, 4-door sedan
Overview: The A3 distinguishes itself as a great-handling, attractive sedan with an upscale interior and luxury features not generally expected in this segment. A 170-hp 1.8-liter turbo four with front-wheel drive and a six-speed auto are standard; a manual is not offered. Optional is a 220-hp 2.0-liter four with a six-speed auto and Quattro all-wheel drive. Steering is precise and the ride is composed; fit and finish are superb. If you need more power, an S3 will be available later this year. HIGHS AND LOWS of the Audi A3 Highs: Roomy for its size, sophisticated chassis, fun to drive, premium fit and finish. Lows: High beltline, automatic lacks paddle shifters, no manual transmission, no diesel (yet).

Overview: Once upon a time, the 5-series was a tactile and agile hot rod for the autobahn; today, it is merely a roomy, luxury conveyance. All engines are turbocharged: the diesel inline-six; gasoline four-cylinder, inline-six, and V-8, and the gas-electric hybrid; each pairs with an eight-speed automatic. The gas six features a rare manual gearbox, and all but the hybrid offer all-wheel drive. We’re not fond of the precise yet numb steering, and options can push the price past that of a 7-series. Pros and Cons of the 2014 BMW are that it shoves hard, even at low rpm; virtually free of turbo lag; hushed mechanicals. Some cons are that is it a Fuel-obsessed transmission, numb steering, doesn’t feel any smaller than a 7-series.

August isn’t just the last full month of summer, it’s also Brake Safety Awareness Month. If you’re planning on taking one last summer vacation before the season is over and before school starts, be sure to have your brakes checked out to keep you and your family safe on the road.
Brake Safety Awareness Month aims to encourage motorists to learn and be aware of the importance of having a safe brake system in their BMW.
We all know brakes wear and tear over time, so it’s important to stop into your independent BMW repair shop and have your brakes routinely checked for maintenance. Your qualified BMW mechanic will check the brake lining wear, fluid level, rotor thickness, condition of the hoses and brake lines, the brake dash and warning lights and perform other checks to correctly diagnose if there is a problem with your brake system.

So you’ve found your dream BMW. It’s used, and looks like it’s had a few wear and tear repairs over the years, which is normal. Should you purchase it? Not before you obtain a pre-purchase inspection.
Used Car For Sale! Get a Pre-Purchase Inspection First!
It’s necessary to get a pre-purchase inspection done before buying a used BMW because you don’t want to end up with a vehicle full of expensive to remedy mechanical and safety issues that are not evident to the casual eye.
What Is A Pre-Purchase Inspection, Anyway?
A pre-purchase inspection is a detailed report about the cosmetic, mechanical and safety condition of the BMW you are interested in purchasing.

Before your undergrad hits the books in the campus library, gets involved with Greek life or tailgates for the big game, have these auto-related items checked by your local BMW repair shop to ensure safety on the road prior to the start of Fall semester.
Engine: English 101 may be a breeze but breaking down on the side of the road due to engine trouble isn’t. Engine problems can range from engine overheating to jerky driving, and more, so have your local BMW mechanic check the hoses, lines, clamps, temperature gauge and your water pump, to make sure everything is in prime operating condition.
