The revamped 2022 Audi A3 and S3 will hit dealer showrooms in the third quarter of this year, with a slew of new features, more power, and a stunningly refreshed appearance.
Considering that Audi has canceled the A3 Cabriolet for 2020, its appearance is amazing. Audi has declared that its future design will focus on electric travel and will also showcase the four-door Audi A6 e-tron, built on the company’s “Premium Platform Electric” architecture. With production set to begin in late 2022, one wonders how long it will take before this type of A3 is updated – or perhaps discontinued.
Its emergence is particularly surprising considering Americans’ overwhelming predilection for crossover utility vehicles. The total crossover ratio is more conducive to electrification. The introduction of the revised A3 and S3 is good news, especially given the ongoing fall in sales of premium small vehicles, however the Sportback Wagon sold in Europe will not travel across the pond. Here’s everything we know so far about the new models.
A More Streamlined Exterior Design:
The most obvious is the wider and more aggressive “Singleframe” grille of the new model, with a honeycomb texture covering the more sculptural hood. The lateral sculpture is also more noticeable feature, giving the entire vehicle a broader look.
The external aerodynamics of the new Audi A3 has been enhanced, and the side mirrors have been modified to reduce wind resistance even further. The S3’s Black Optical Package features black exhaust tips and a black roof, commonly known as the New Millennium’s vinyl roof.
More power – Why of course:
The Audi A3 has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 201 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and starts at $34,945 (including destination). When more torque is required, a standard 48-volt mild-hybrid system enhances power. Front-wheel drive is standard, with Quattro all-wheel drive available for an extra $2,000 on top of that.
The new Audi S3 model comes with a more powerful four-cylinder engine. The standard Quattro all-wheel drive system allows the car to reach 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The S3 has a half-inch lower suspension than the A3, and bigger 14.1-inch front disc brakes. Opt for Audi repair today and enjoy your ride.
A Well Equipped Cabin:
The 2022 Audi A3 and S3 Greensboro will be equipped with standard heated eight-way power seats with four-way lumbar support. The memory positioning of the driver’s seat and rearview mirror is optional. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard configurations of S3. More detailed information about the new model will be announced soon.
