While many SUV competitors are proving their existence with their strong performance or huge cargo capacity, the 2021 Range Rover Evoque is one of the most attractive designs in the industry. Evoque’s cabin is equally stylish and attractive; at least for passengers in the front seats. The turbocharged four-cylinder engine provides enough power, although competitors such as the BMW X1 and Volvo XC40 T5 are faster.

What’s New for 2021?
Like many Land Rover models, the Evoque will be overhauled and equipped with infotainment in 2021. The new Evoque has an all-new Pivi Pro software interface, which is easy to use and has the latest features such as air conditioning. A new online package, including WiFi hotspot and Spotify integration, is available on your smartphone wireless charger.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
Equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 246 turbocharging, the Evoque comes standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. On the test course, the Evoque ran from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. Competitors like the BMW X1 and Volvo XC40 tend to score slightly faster, but the Land Rover still has a clear advantage over its rivals, states Land Rover Greensboro NC.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Unfortunately, the Evoque’s large exterior dimensions contrast with the compact interior (especially the rear seats). The Evoque’s rear seats are square compared to other small SUVs like the X1 and XC40. But the material inside is very good. The Evoque comes with a very clean fabric decor and is covered with seats, panels and dashboards. However, leather comes standard. Other standard features include dual-zone air conditioning, 10-way front seats and interior lighting.
Infotainment and Connectivity
All Evoque models are equipped with an infotainment screen and a 10-inch Pivi Pro Land Rover touch screen. The system has great features and Control Touch Pro 2020 has been greatly improved. Navigation and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto integration are standard. The Meridian Premium sound system with premium display, WiFi access point, wireless charging station for smartphones and Serious XM satellite radio is optional.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
Evoque has not been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS), but uses the standard Range Rover Evoque with driver assistance. The most important safety features are:
- Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection
- Standard lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist
- Available adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode
Overall, it’s an impressive car. To keep it in good working order, be sure to bring it in for Land Rover service inspection and routine checkups.
