The All New Land Rover Discovery SVX- A Supercharged V-8 Monster Heading Off Road

Even though most of the Land Rover Range Rover models have been off road concentric, still there was an announcement that Land Rover Discovery will get a new SVO version that is going to focus more on the off-road performance. And as the year ends, the brand has indeed kept up to their words as they come up with an extreme version- the Land Rover Discovery SVX.

Land Rover Greensboro

The product line tagged within the Special Vehicle Operation from Land Rover Greensboro will come have the Discovery SVX added, and going by the presumptions, it is definitely not going to disappoint on the performance. What’s the catch behind this grand entry and early announcement? For the first time, the Discovery SVX will feature a special version of the Jaguar 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine which is comfortable enough to deliver 517 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Apart from this, the engine will also be tied to an eight-speed automatic transmission which is connected to a two-range transfer box.

Now there might be something that the SVX technology has targeted before launching in the market. Suspension dexterity is what they have come down to, and as a result of this, the SVX will be featuring the Hydraulic Active Roll Control, one of the features that have never been integrated for the Discovery before. There are some unique functions of the SVX control, which allows increasing the wheel articulation along with an improved body control as well. Generally while reducing the body roll it gives some traction and this particular technology will enhance the traction while reducing the body roll.

Apart from this, the service centers of Land Rover Greensboro NC have claimed that there are Hill Descent Control, Electronic Traction Control, the Adaptive Dynamics, Dynamic Stability Control, and the All Terrain Progressive Control which gives a certificate to the Land Rover Discovery to be an off-road monster. However, apart from this technical adherence, there has been some improvement done with the front and rear bumpers giving an aggressive look to the entire vehicle. As a concept, it looks sound enough, but it is just a matter of time to see how well the market accepts it.
