The engine in your BMW is an important mechanical device that keeps your vehicle running smoothly. Proper care and regular maintenance is necessary to keep the engine in top health. At the same time, give up certain bad driving habits to avoid any damage to the engine.
On the tachometer of your vehicle, you will notice some red lines. This area, marked usually in red, shows maximum speed at which an engine is engineered to operate. While driving one should resist the [...]

BMW’s Customer Racing program has grown immensely over the last few years. For the longest time, if you wanted a BMW race car, you bought a road car and then spent a lot of money turning it into a race car. With the growth of the FIA GT3-specification, BMW decided to join Porsche, Audi Sport, and Mercedes-AMG with a manufacturer-developed customer race car with the BMW Z4 GT3.
The BMW Z4 GT3 saw some success, but it was in limited numbers as the high cost was only for the biggest of customer racing teams. Then in 2014, BMW unveiled a customer racing car for the masses with the BMW M235i Racing. It took a couple years but, the M235i Racing [...]
After an amazing debut at Detroit Auto Show, the second generation and model year 2019 BMW X4 promises to be stronger, faster and attractive that its predecessor. It is nicely proportioned with wide tracks, the latest generation suspension settings, a lower center of gravity and improved aerodynamics.
Body: Based on the same platform as the BMW X3, the redesigned 2019 BMW X4 flaunts a sportier look, thanks to its revised M Sport bodywork with body color trim and high-gloss black accents. It has received an additional 3 inches added to its length, 2.1 inches added to its wheelbase, 1.4 inches added to its width, and a 0.1 inch drop in its height. All these adjustments [...]
One of the best innovations in car buying in recent years is the rise of no-cost scheduled maintenance programs. Many people feel really anxious about taking their car in for service, and these deals help mitigate that somewhat. Obviously, it’s not free for automakers to implement the offers, and now BMW is altering the way its four-year, 50,000-mile Maintenance Program works for some owners. “To keep such an offer sustainable we had to make a change,” said Kenn Sparks, Manager of Business Communications at BMW North America, to Autoblog via email.
The original person to buy or lease the model isn’t going to see any difference, but the program is no longer transferable to a second owner, unless that person is in the owners household. Those people include [...]
DIY: Split Armrest Install F.Y.I…there are parts that will come w/ the armrest that won’t be needed (..i.e…extra rods, some spring contraption, etc.). You can reuse the rods that were on the stock armrest. Remove the rear climate controls by grabbing it along the top and the sides, and pulling gently. Be careful not to break the clips.
Using a pair of pliers, grip the small metal rods and push toward the outside. The outside tip of each rod is grooved to help it stay in place. That is the reason that it must be pushed to the outside. Remove the stock armrest by lifting out and up.
A side-by-side comparison of the stock armrest vs. the split euro armrest.

There is no denying that the BMW M3 models are extremely well made vehicles. That said, like all cars, the M3 has its quirks. After 27 years on the road there are very few complaints with this sport coupe.
The issues most commonly reported include:
Leaks in the Power Steering Hose – The M series vehicles have been known to experience power steering hose leaks. In some cases multiple hoses will leak at once. All leaky hoses will need to be replaced as soon as possible.
Noisy Differential – If you hear a rubbing noise during tight turns the most likely cause is the limited slip differential. Replacing the fluids with a specialty BMW oil may fix the problem, but [...]
Driving is quickly becoming a connected experience. Although the first “carphone” was invented nearly 100 years ago, it didn’t have much range and was rather experimental. Today, mobile communication and connectivity is considered essential to most people.
We take our smart phones and mobile devices with us everywhere, but while we’re traveling there are a few technological gaps that can leave us hanging. But automakers are coming up with new ways to make cars fit our connected lifestyle. The latest BMW 6 Series lineup comes equipped with several features that make it even easier to use mobile devices while you’re on the move.

From coast to coast you never have to worry about losing your Internet connection when you’re driving in [...]
For quite some time, the BMW X7 has not been seen in the market, and even BMW has been releasing some teasers on and off. As of now, the market only gets to see a prototype of how the all-new X7 is going to look. The X6 has always been the flagship SUV model for the brand as of now, but going by the specs that the X7 is going to bear, it is expected that the X6 will soon be dethroned. However, brands like Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo and Range Rover must be aware since the X7 is going to pose some tough competition in the segment where the GLS, Q7, and XC90 belonged. Apart from being the SUV, it is also going to be the Sports Activity Vehicle.
Of all the aspects, the first look at the BMW Greensboro will draw one’s attention to those massive wheels and the boxy proportions to stay in [...]
